I love travel. I love to travel. I love to talk about travel. I love to hear about travel experiences. And I love my job in the travel industry. Travel has always defined who I am for as long as I remember. I live to travel and I travel to live. Unfortunately, I never ever seem to get enough.
After graduating from Boston University many lifetimes ago, I went out to California to attend Echols International Travel Training School, at that time the number one travel school in the country. From then on in I was hooked. When we moved to Florida in 1992, I chose to concentrate and specialize in cruising. And I have been doing it ever since. Over the past 16 years, there have been so many changes in the cruise industry. It used to be so easy to know each and every ship and where it was at any time of the year. Now, with the vast variety of ships and the subtleties between each cruise line and cruise ship, and with the multitude of destinations offered, it is very difficult for the average person to know what they should do or where they should go. That’s what I’m here for! I work for you each and every step of the way.
I love to share my knowledge and expertise with you. Alaska is by far my favorite topic and destination. Everyone should go there at least once. I’ve been there 3 times and would live to spend some time there each year. Tahiti had the most beautiful hues and colors in the water that constantly brought tears to my eyes. Hawaii offers something for everyone. Each of her islands offers a totally different topography and is so very unique and beautiful. What can I say about the Caribbean and Europe and the Rest of the World except that I always want to go and I’m always ready! My dream trip has always been a first class deluxe African Safari. Currently my dream cruise would take me to Europe and the Mediterranean. A Polar Bear Trek in Manitoba, Dogsledding and the Ice Hotel in Norway, Hot Air Ballooning in the French Wine Country, Shopping in Hong Kong, a few weeks at a Spa in Switzerland, traveling extensively throughout Thailand and the Orient with my daughter, and 110 day Around the World Cruise would help fuel my fantasies.
My life outside of the office revolves around my two kids, my husband Carl, our cat Minky, and our newly acquired puppy Schnitzel. My handsome-almost 12 year-old son Jonathan is a soccer/football/ basketball-playing seventh grader whose choice topic in a past speech competition was "What I Like About Cruising". Next year, when he turns 13, in Jewish Law, he becomes a “man”. Instead of the traditional Bar Mitzvah party for all of his friends, he has opted for a cruise around Hawaii, an choice I personally am quite thrilled about. And you too can join us! My smart, gorgeous and talented 19 year-old daughter Samara is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where she is pre-med student double majoring in Biology and Psychology. Her dreams include traveling and volunteering in third world countries, a shopping spree with Mommy in Europe, eating her way through the Far East and just getting into a Medical School where they teach in English.
They all love what I do and think I am the best travel agent around anywhere even though they feel I should have been a lawyer. They truly are my greatest promoters. Without their love, support and guidance, I would not be able to do a job that I truly enjoy doing!
